Frequently asked questions
What is CGPA?
CGPA (Cumulative Grade Point Average) is the credit-weighted average of your grade points across all semesters, usually on a 10-point scale used in India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Nigeria.
How is CGPA calculated?
Multiply each subject’s grade point by its credits to get credit points, sum them across all semesters, then divide by the total credits. The calculator does this automatically as you add semesters.
How do I convert CGPA to percentage?
The most common formula is Percentage = CGPA × 9.5. Some universities differ — Anna University uses CGPA × 10, VTU uses (CGPA − 0.75) × 10. Use our CGPA to percentage converter to pick your formula.
What is the difference between SGPA and CGPA?
SGPA is your grade average for a single semester; CGPA averages every semester together, weighted by credits.
